“No one cares how much you know until they know “No one cares how much you know until they know how much you care.” - Theodore Roosevelt

Hiked the island dedicated to one of our favorite homeschoolers today! Spending time in nature helps children develop into people who care—who are curious about the world around them and their place in it. Today’s student-led conversation topics included the history of TR Island and the man himself, the habitat of a bald eagle, why the current of the river was flowing upstream, the reason that monuments are built, the type of mushrooms growing, and the identification of spiders. But mostly, we enjoyed a beautiful fall day with our friends!
